The Picture Gallery
I like to get photos when we are out at events. I often get questions about what was it like and who was there? I have a number of photos here from the events of the past year. At this point they are not really in order but I will in the future have the broken down by event. Also if you have some photos you would like to post here please contact me at [email protected] and I will work to get them up on the site either in a the general Gallery or if you can supply detail and some write up I will make them their own Gallery and page here on the website.
I would like to tank the members of the Houston QRP Club and the south Texas Balloon launch team for photos contributed to the site. Especially Andy W5ACM, Ed N5EM, Craig K1BDX, Fred Cull WA5BUC, Tom Mathewes K5SAF, Ron Sparks KG5RS and of course Warren WQ1C.

Bear Creek Park 2014 Recent the HQRP group has been holding our Saturday morning events at Bear Creek Park in Houston TX. This site is actually just on the edge of Houston and is one of the most RF quiet places we have ever had. With the nice facilities and good isolation and excellent number of alternative operating sites in the bark we have adopted it as our primary operation site. By contrast Ray Miller Park was a nice little neighborhood park was convenient to most of us and had been a great place to operate from. It had a bad RF noise level, unfortunately with marginal band conditions use of this site had to be discontinued. |
